Looking like a knife, sorta

Now, the lock bar relief has been milled in, and you can see an "action" shot of cutting the lock bar in. The finished product is shown in a typically dirty hand. Last, starting the fit of the blade stops, closed and open.







Next steps

At this point I've profiled the blade and liners and also drilled and reamed the pivot holes. The larger blade in the picture is for my first frame lock, coming soon :)

Starting a new one

Ok, we're starting a new order now. Here you can see I've glued the pattern to the stock I'll be making it from. The blade steel is CPM S35VN and the liners will be cut from .071" thick titanium.
